2026 Raleigh Landscaping Price & Demand Report (Q3 Edition)

Last updated:

Most Raleigh homeowners spend between $3,000 and $25,000 on landscaping in 2026, with routine lawn care at $40 to $60 per mow and a paver patio at $15 to $30 per square foot. Search demand is trending up: search impressions for this site rose about 22% from mid May to late June 2026. Here’s the full breakdown, drawn from our own published pricing and our own search and call data.

Raleigh budgets swing widely because the work does too. A weekly mow on a flat lot is a different project than a designed backyard with a paver patio, new irrigation, and a French drain to handle the Piedmont clay. Per our published Raleigh cost guide, here’s where 2026 pricing lands:

– Overall project range: most homeowners spend $3,000 to $25,000, and fully designed yards reach $30,000 and up – Weekly lawn mowing: $40 to $60 per visit on a standard lot – Full-season lawn care program (mowing, fertilization, weed control, lime, aeration): $1,500 to $3,500 a year – Fall aeration and overseeding for fescue: $200 to $500, the single most important lawn job in this area – New sprinkler system (6 to 8 zones): $2,500 to $5,000, usually $500 to $850 per zone – Sod installation: $1.50 to $3.00 per square foot installed, so a 2,000-square-foot front yard typically lands between $3,000 and $6,000 – Drainage and French drain work: $1,500 to $5,000, the region-specific line item driven by slow-draining red clay – Paver patio: $15 to $30 per square foot installed, with concrete at $8 to $18 and natural stone at $20 to $40

Raleigh sits in the transition zone, so lawns are mostly cool-season tall fescue, with warm-season Bermuda and Zoysia on sunnier lots. The local cost drivers are heavy, acidic red clay that needs tilling, lime, and amendment, plus slope and drainage on rolling lots where retaining walls and grading are often required.

In the Raleigh report, search appearances describe visibility within the stated collection period; they do not establish how many property owners requested or purchased service. Any comparison should retain the date range, query coverage, and stated data limits.

The trend is up. The first four full weeks totaled 1,096 impressions; the last four completed weeks totaled 1,335, a rise of about 21.8%. The shape is worth noting: visibility actually dipped through late May and early June, then recovered and climbed steadily, with the week of June 28 posting 497 impressions, the strongest of the whole window. The final row covers only the first days of July and isn’t comparable to full weeks, so we exclude it from the trend math. A 22% rise won’t make headlines, but a curve that ends at its high point suggests the momentum is real.

No single commercial search term dominated our Raleigh data this period. Instead, search interest was spread across a long tail of specific queries rather than concentrating on a few head terms. That means the demand curve above reflects many different homeowner questions (pricing, individual services, seasonal timing) rather than one big keyword. We’ll report named terms once individual queries accumulate enough volume to be meaningful.

Our call tracking went live on June 4, 2026, so we only have a partial month of phone data and the sample is very small. In that first June window we received a couple of inquiries, both answered, plus early activity in the first days of July. That’s far too little to read as a demand signal in either direction, so we’re treating it strictly as a baseline. The October refresh will have a full quarter of call data to compare against.

Frequently asked questions

Per our published Raleigh cost guide, most homeowners spend between $3,000 and $25,000 depending on scope. Weekly mowing runs $40 to $60 per visit, a new sprinkler system runs $2,500 to $5,000, sod runs $1.50 to $3.00 per square foot installed, drainage work runs $1,500 to $5,000, and a paver patio runs $15 to $30 per square foot. Fully designed yards reach $30,000 and up.

Our cost guide points to September through October for fescue lawn work, when cooler air and fall moisture let new seed root before winter, which is exactly when aeration and overseeding should happen. Warm-season Bermuda and Zoysia are best sodded in late spring, spring is prime for planting beds and trees, and hardscape, drainage, and irrigation can be installed almost any dry day since winters here are mild.

Yes, moderately. Search impressions for this site rose about 21.8% from the first four weeks of our tracking window (mid May 2026) to the last four completed weeks (through late June), and the strongest week of the whole period was the last completed one. Phone data is too new and too small to add anything yet.

Methodology

Data window: 2026-05-10 through the week of 2026-06-28 (completed weeks only; the current partial week is excluded from all trend math). Sources: this site’s Google Search Console impressions (weekly totals for this domain only), this business’s call-tracking line (inbound call counts, aggregates only, live since 2026-06-04), and our published Raleigh cost guide for all price figures. Trend percentages compare the first four completed weeks of the window against the last four. Where a sample is small (for example, a first month of call tracking), the report says so rather than extrapolating. No personal information is collected or reported; all figures are aggregates. Compiled by Raleigh Pro Landscape; next scheduled refresh: October 2026.

Raleigh Search Interest Index: 286

The Raleigh Search Interest Index stands at 286 as of 2026-07-26 (up 186 points from the prior reading; base window 2026-07-06 = 100). The index tracks Google search visibility for this site’s Raleigh landscaping pages alongside tracked phone inquiry volume, computed over a 28-day window.

Raleigh moved back to its permanent conservation measures on August 3, 2026, when the City lifted its temporary water restrictions after the Falls Lake water-supply pool reached 84 percent full. Outdoor watering is allowed under the permanent measures, with landscape irrigation recommended at no more than one inch per week. Frequently Asked Questions

Record lengths, areas, counts and access widths beside the work-zone label where each was taken. The cost and demand reporting estimate should cite that ledger so quantities can be checked before approval.

Read exclusions beside the site sketch, not as boilerplate at the end. Confirm who owns protection, removal, restoration, permits if applicable, disposal and any follow-up outside the proposed boundary.

Compare preparation, measured quantity, specification, change process and completion test one category at a time. Resolve missing categories before using the total as the deciding number.
